CUSBC members with smallbore rifles outside the range

Membership

Your first shot starts here

Most members start with no shooting experience. New applications normally open with the Michaelmas taster programme.

Current status

Membership is currently closed

Formal taster booking is not open yet, but you can register your interest for 2026-27 now.

Getting started

From taster to member

Joining normally begins in Michaelmas with taster sessions. Places are limited by safe range capacity, so the application window does not remain open all year.

01

Register interest

Complete the current expression-of-interest form and the club will share taster details when sessions open.

02

Try the range

A supervised taster covers safety, position and a first card. The club provides the rifle and equipment.

03

Join the programme

Accepted novices train with coaches through Michaelmas and begin shooting league cards and matches as they progress.
