The club

Smallbore at Cambridge

CUSBC is Cambridge University’s smallbore rifle club. We shoot prone target rifle at the Queen Elizabeth Way range, a short cycle from the centre of town.

Most members arrive having never held a target rifle. Taster sessions begin with safety and position, then the Michaelmas novice programme builds toward league cards, matches and, for some, a place in a Varsity team.

Beyond the firing point

A club, not just a training slot

Friday socials at the Hawk’s Club sit alongside dinners, swaps, pub crawls and joint events with CURA. You do not need Hawk’s membership, and you certainly do not need to be a first-team shot.
